Why Venture Creations?

I take naming things seriously — probably more seriously than necessary. When my daughter was born six weeks early, we left the hospital without a name. And not just for a few days… she didn’t have a name for the first three months of her life. People gave us a hard time about it, and the hospital initially told us we had to choose a name before discharge. But when I asked what would actually happen if we didn’t, they said we’d just need to apply and pay for her social security card and birth certificate ourselves. To me, it was worth it. I’d rather take the extra step than rush a name we might not love later — names matter.

So when it came time to name our business, we approached it with the same thoughtfulness and care. Just like when we were choosing her name — mixing and matching family names, middle names, and meanings — we played with different words, expressions, and ideas, all in hopes of finding something that truly reflected who we are and what we’re about: creating something personal for life’s meaningful moments. After a lot of brainstorming, it was my husband who finally said it — Venture Creations — and it just felt right.

We didn’t want something trendy or generic. We wanted something meaningful. Venture Creations came from the idea that life is full of purpose-driven adventures. Some are big and bold — like serving a mission, starting a business, or chasing a dream. Others are quieter but just as meaningful — like raising kids, planning your first trip together, or navigating that first-year venture of dating or marriage.

We chose “venture” because it means more than just an adventure — it’s a journey with intention. And we chose “creations” because everything we design is made to support those moments. Our shirts are more than just clothes — they’re made to celebrate what you’re building, who you're becoming, and the path you’re on — whatever your venture may be. 💛
